Best face creams for oily skin

Abbys recommendations:

I bought this when it was on offer to try, it grabbed my attention as it was "oil free" and I've struggled with oily skin for as long as I can remember. I use this nearly every morning before my make up and it helps stop my foundation making my skin greasy, I hate having to keep using powder throughout the day as it just builds up and looks horrible! I don't think I'll ever go without this again now that I've found it and would recommend it to everyone who suffers from oily skin to try it!

I do occasionally use this in mornings, or days when I'm wearing little or no make up, but I mainly use this on the evenings before bed after I've cleaned my skin and exfoliated, so oil doesn't build up on my skin overnight. I probably prefer the Nivea one to use under my makeup as it seems not as thick to me personally, but there isn't too much difference in them.

Ellie's recommendation:

This is my favourite moisturiser at the moment. Even though I suffer from dry skin on my face, many moisturisers that I've used in the past have left my face feeling heavy and clogged up with thick moisturiser. However this Simple one has saved my life! It's a perfect balance of not too light and not too heavy which is just what I needed! They have a range of moisturisers just like these, for different types of skin. I chose to get the one with SPF in (which was great for Australia!) as I've heard that SPF is amazing for keeping your skin youthful and wrinkle free! Starting early with these things is always good, haha!

If anyone has any other recommendations feel free to comment below so we can try them!

Thanks!

Melbourne

Our trip to Melbourne was amazing! We were so lucky to explore different cities whilst we were over there. We've become almost experts at flying! (Or catching flights should I say)

The main hostel we stayed at in Melbourne was "Urban Central" which was our favourite from the whole trip! Especially the bar, hahaha! We had a private room to ourself with an ensuite, we might as well have been staying in a hotel it was that nice. The bar manager was so lovely as well, he was giving us free shooters! Which we had never tried before, and I must say, they are our new found loves!

I just had to get a photo with Audrey!

The clubs in Melbourne were amazing! (Even if alcohol is more expensive over there) - I can't help but laugh that none of our eyes are open, yet Millie and Lisa seem to be doing just a bit better than us, haha!

The cutest kitties were at the cat cafe, if you go to Melbourne you simply can't say no to going there! Look at his face!

Pink lake giving us mermaid vibes! I guess this is one of Melbournes hidden gems!

Great ocean road!

The photo doesn't really need to be explained! This was at the very start of the journey (which took 4 days) such a touristy shot but we couldn't resist.

One of the best things about the great ocean road is that you're able to pull over every 5 minutes to take photos of everything without causing a hassle for anybody else.

We look like a really crappy girlband hahahaha!

The Twelve Apostles

This was probably the most amazing part of the trip, the twelve apostles are what draw in most people and the most famous section of the coast on the great ocean road. It's hard to tell from the photos but it was absolutely swarming with people! There's even a gift shop there!

The Ottways/Triplet Falls

It was a bit of a walk through the forest to find this hidden gem! But the muddy shoes and aching legs was worth it. Photos simply can't do places like this justice, everything about it was absolutely breathtaking.

I really wish I could remember every single places name that we stopped, but it seemed to be that we were stopping at every opportunity (especially if a beach was involved)
We feel so lucky to have had the chance to do the great ocean road, and can't recommend it enough!

The Best Places to eat in Sydney!

We recently came back from 2 months travelling and exploring Australia. We spent a lot of time in Sydney and were constantly finding amazing places to eat and drink at! Here are some of our favourite places that we came across on our holiday. If any of you ever go to Sydney, we highly recommend all of these places! Hope you enjoy.

Guylian Cafe

 The Guylian Cafe

Guylian Cafe
This cafe was located on the harbour, with a lovely view of the harbour bridge and the city skyline. We had wanted to go for ages and ended up going near the end of our trip. I'm so glad we did as it was delicious! If you're a chocolate lover like myself, you would have most definitely been in heaven. They had such a range of mains, desserts, snacks and drinks, there was something for everyone.

n2 gelato

n2 gelato

n2 extreme gelato

This place was absolutely insane! The shop was set out almost like a science lab. The gelato is made from liquid nitrogen, apparently making it smoother! I think its crazy how it works but it tasted amazing! They have so many different flavours and they're updating and changing them constantly. I definitely recommend going here 100%! You even get a syringe of chocolate in it!
gelatissimo

Gelatissimo

gelatissimo
This was another amazing gelato place that was dotted all over Sydney and the rest of Australia. They have tons of flavours ranging from Peanut Butter, to Green Tea - and to finish it off, you can even get nutella drizzled over your ice cream! What is there not to like?

san churro
san churro

San Churro

These churros were the most incredible churros I've ever eaten! They were a perfect mix of soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. You were able to choose what sides you wanted with them, which ranged from bananas, melted chocolate, whipped cream etc. The staff were so friendly as well which instantly put you in a good mood. They even had a whole section of macarons on the front desk! Hard to resist.

Aqua S

Aqua S

Aqua S
Definitely the most crazy but amazing ice cream we have ever seen/bought! We stumbled upon this ice cream place on instagram and we had our hearts set on going there asap! It definitely lived up to our expectations! Their flavours changed weekly, however there were some pretty insane flavours when we went! Including: sea salt, pumpkin soup and cranberry! Sounds weird, tastes amazing! You could get many different toppings as well as fairy floss wrapped round the ice cream cone. It was incredible.

The cupcake bakery

The Cupcake Bakery

This was such a cute little cupcake shop! There were so many different flavours and types of cupcakes, and other cakes too. They were all beautifully handmade, I definitely could have eaten them all!

The opera bar

The Opera Bar

This was just by the Harbour, with a beautiful scenic lookout of The Opera House and The Harbour Bridge. We got these delicious cocktails, which were extremely photogenic! They were around $18/20 - a bit pricey but so worth it! They were so yummy, and quite strong may I add!

pancakes on the rocks

Pancakes On The Rocks

This place was incredible! They had a huge range of pancakes and crepes, savoury and sweet! (and other food as well if pancakes aren't your thing). The meal on the left was called 'Aussie Sunrise' and it was delicious! The service is so fast in there and every one is super friendly. It's a really popular place - highly recommend!

vogue cafe

Vogue Cafe

These milkshakes were each called the "Pretty in Pink" and they were most definitely very pretty! We had seen these monstrous milkshakes on buzzfeed and decided to track them down because we just HAD to go! I had never seen milkshakes anything like it! These ones were topped with a cinnamon sugar donut, a coconut sprinkled pancake, strawberry coconut cream and sweets! You just cannot beat these!

mad pizza e bar

Mad Pizza e Bar

These pizzas were amazing! There were loads of different toppings that you could get. They were proper homemade and italian, so yummy! It was only a tiny little restaurant with outdoor seats, but you could draw on the tables! That kept us occupied for so long! Haha!

laduree

laduree

Laduree

Abby is so deeply in love with macarons, we just had to visit the Laduree in Sydney! Everything there was just stunning, the layout and presentation was so lovely! If you are a lover of macarons I would definitely recommend going here!

grind and grill bar

Grind and Grill Bar

grind and grill bar
This place was an absolutely saviour on the morning after Ellie's birthday night out! We weren't in the best of ways and needed a hangover fix, and their ranges of milkshakes; smoothies; sandwiches and salads were all so delicious. We ended up going there quite a few times after discovering it.

Plus their food and drink was always presented so lovely!
